After a 12-day break for Christmas, during which members of the Surrey Eagles scattered across the continent to spent the holidays with family, the team has reconvened for games this weekend.
The Eagles play tomorrow, Dec. 28, at home against the Chilliwack Chiefs, and Saturday, the team travels down the highway to Chilliwack for a rematch. Both games start at 7 p.m.
Then, completing the three-games-in-three-nights stretch, the Eagles will head to Coquitlam’s Poirer Sports and Leisure Centre Sunday for a 2 p.m. game against the Coquitlam Express.
The Eagles will be looking to gain ground on the first-place Chiefs. Surrey sits third in the BC Hockey League’s Mainland Division, seven points back of Chilliwack. The Express, meanwhile, are just four points back of Surrey.
Prior to Christmas, the Eagles had been struggling on the ice, going 1-3 in the two weekends before the break.
