Five Orcas swimmers attended the 13th Annual Wavemaker Long Course Invitational Meet in Victoria April 29 to May 1.
• Grace Dice: 6 best times, 100 %. 2 top 8 places.
• Aileen Humphreys 4 best times. 3 golds and breaststroke events and 8th in 200 free.
• Morgan Humphreys 2 best times. He made finals in 200 breast and 100 back.
• Aiden Jeffries 4 best times and made finals in 5 out of 6 swims. Silver in 50 breast.
• Kennadie Sheppard 3 best times. She took off 14 seconds in the 100 free.
Four swimmers attend the Comox 10 and under Championships May 7 and 8.
• Abigail Hicks finished 3rd and 4th in 25 back and free. This was her very first swim meet.
• Cassidy Hicks finished 1st in 25 breast, top 8 in other 3 events.
• Aiden Jeffries 8 swims, 100 % best times. 4 golds and 4 silvers. Swam 200m Butterfly as a 9 year old.
• Kennadie Sheppard 5 best times out of 8 swims. She got 3rd in 100 back, top 8 in all other events.
