The KISU swim club attended Kelowna’s second annual Spring Madness Long Course meet and earned impressive results.
Aspen Benn and Thomas Caruso placed first with best times in each of their five events. New time standards were achieved by many swimmers with Benn and Lindsay Spear meeting new A times, Avery Barnett achieving new AA times and Caruso, Justin Fotherby and Mackenzie Wallich meeting new AAA times.
The team is getting ready for its Albatross Mega Swim Fundraiser this Friday. Most swimmers will be looking to swim five kilometres in under two hours, while the Mini Squad will swim as many lengths as they can in 40 minutes. To support a swimmer in their quest, visit kisu.ca.
The team is also looking forward to its trip to Lethbridge, Alta. on May 6 for its annual Big Bus Meet.
