Swimmers take another stride forward

The Kootenay Swim Club made an impression at the Kamloops June Classic on June 3 to 5.

The Kootenay Swim Club made an impression at the Kamloops June Classic on June 3 to 5.

Brianne Mager, Locke Finley, Logan Blair, Makenzie Mager, Stevenson McCulloch, and Riley Mager each came away with personal bests in a majority of the events and rounded out the top eight.

Finley and Blair achieved A, AA, and AAA provincial standards at their first long course meet (international racing standard) of the year. Makenzie and Riley raced strong coming away with personal bests in 200-metre freestyle and 50 breaststroke, respectively.
