Swing into success golf tournament lots of fun

73 golfers participated in Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce event

Under a smokey sky, 72 golfers attended the inaugural Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce Swing into Success Golf Tournament at the Williams Lake Golf and Tennis Club on Saturday, August 11th.

A fun day was had by all dealing with some little twists that the organizing committee put into a four-person, best ball Texas scramble tournament.

Everyone got a prize for their efforts and a few won some competition prizes throughout the day. Many sponsors from the business community were present and offered a great atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

There were three, hole-in-one prizes up for grabs.

In the words of those sponsors, they were sad that no one found the magic but there is always next year.

A new car, $10,000 gift card and a hot tub were the prizes to entice and intimidate the golfers that all gave it their best shot to make the hole-in-one.

The event closed with a wonderful dinner provided by the WLGTC staff.

Host Tyler Brouilette was equally happy with the turnout and how things went during the day.

Participants are looking forward to the second annual Swing into Success golf tournament which is set to kick off on June 1st, 2019.
