T-Birds stretch win streak to four games

Game one was a one-man show while the second contest saw the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds flex their collective offensive muscles.

Baxter Anderson potted all three goals in a 3-1 victory on Saturday while scoring twice more in a 7-1 win the following day. The opponent both games was the North Island Silvertips with the victories improving Fraser Valley to 15-7-3-1 and fourth place in the BC Major Midget Hockey League.

The games were played at the Abbotsford Recreation Centre with the victories stretching Fraser Valley’s win streak to four games.

Special teams were huge in that second victory as the T-Birds scored twice on the power play and two more times while a man down.

In addition to Anderson’s pair, Justin Plett, Brodi Stuart, Jake Mulder, Jonathan Rees and Dawson Penner had the other tallies.

Boston Bilous earned the win in game one while Chad Cromar did the honours in the rematch.
