The Williams Lake Midget Rep Timberwolves surrendered just three goals in four games on the weekend to win its home tournament at the Cariboo memorial Recreation Complex.
The Timberwolves defeated Smithers in the gold medal match on Sunday afternoon, 5-1, to win the title after finishing the round robin in first place with a perfect 3-0 record.
Lane Paddison lit the lamp twice, while Brendan Pigeon, Dawson Billyboy and Justin Swan added singles to help win the championship.
Pigeon also picked up two assists in the contest for a three-point outing, with Jimmi Belleau (2A), Dayton Long, Paddison and Tyson Conroy also adding helpers.
Round robin games Saturday saw Williams Lake shutout both West Kelowna and Kamloops, 7-0 a and 5-0, respectively.
Jordan Bunce (2G, 1A), Justin (2G), Tyler Tenning, Paddison and Cody scored versus West Kelowna, while Cody (2G, 1A), Grady Thomas (1G), Pigeon (1G) and Bunce (1G) tallied in the contest against Kamloops.
Williams Lake then doubled Salmon Arm, 4-2, with goals from Cody, Billyboy, Andy Berkelaar and Bunce finding the twine.
With the perfect round robin record the Timberwolves received a bye to the tournament championship.
Smithers, meanwhile, defeated Prince George in the semifinal to reach the gold medal game.
