The Williams Lake Midget Timberwolves finished just shy of a gold medal Sunday at a tournament in Summerland.
The Timberwolves were edge 4-3 by Calgary — a minor midget team consisting of 15 year olds — in the final.
Scoring for Williams Lake in the final were Andy Berkelaar, Cody Swan and Grady Thomas. Swan also picked up two assists in the contest, well Tyson Conroy added the other helper.
Williams Lake opened its tournament Friday, also against Calgary, in a 7-4 defeat with Justin Swan, Brody Conroy, Brendan Pigeon and Cody lighting the lamp for the T-wolves.
Williams Lake would go unbeaten from there up until the final with a 3-1 win over South Zone, a 4-3 triumph of West Kelowna and a 5-3 win against South Zone in the semifinal.
Cade Enns, Cody, Jimi Belleau, Dayton Long and Justin found the twine for Williams Lake in the semi.
