Terrace Junior Rage earned fifth place in one of five 16U divisions at the massive Volleyball Canada Nationals in Edmonton recently.
Though teams do not have to qualify to compete, the calibre of play cannot be discounted with hundreds of teams from across the country competing in 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U divisions.
There were 160 teams of 16U girls, split into five divisions, and Terrace Junior Rage was in division four with 32 other teams.
The Terrace team won three straight games in their pool to advance to the next level where they won two games and lost one. The three straight victories earned them a place in the Tier One quarter final against SAVC Thunder from Alberta, a match they lost in two sets 25-22 and 25-21.
The team finished with a solid fifth-place rank in the top Tier One group of the division.
Northwest Rage 18U girls also competed at the tournament, earning a 1-2 record in pool play, and going on to finish second in Tier Three.
