The-game tilt for Alberni Valley Bulldogs

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs hope to smoke Trail, whip the Warriors and take a bite out of the Vipers this weekend.

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have their work cut out for them as they embark on a three game road trip.

The Bulldog’s open their trip on Thursday with a game against the Trail Smoke Eaters. The game is the first meeting between the two teams this season. Trail is 9-29-1 and sit in the basement of their division. They lost 5-4 to Langley on Sunday.

Next, they face the Westside Warriors on Friday.  The Warriors are 16-23-2  and are in sixth place in their division.

The Bulldogs close out their road trip with a game against Vernon on Saturday. The Vipers are 21-20-1.

Meanwhile back in Port Alberni, the Bulldogs are turning back the clock on their ticket prices, atl least for one game.

On Tue. Feb. 7, the Dogs are charging $7 straight across the board for tickets for their game against Cowichan.

Still on the ticket front, the team kicked off its early bird season ticket renewal campaign.

Fans can save between $10 and $14 depending on the ticket category if they buy before March 31.

On the player front, the team announced that team captain Trent Dorais has committed to play for the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology next season.

The SAIT Trojans play in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conferences.

There, Dorais will join former linemate Sam Mitchell, who played with the Bulldogs from 2008-2011.

And the cup is coming to Port Alberni. The Fred Page Cup that is.

The Fred Page Cup is the BCHL championship trophy.
