Langley Thunder Lacrosse is aiming to bring more girls into the game.
In this vein, the organization has put together a Girls Lacrosse Program, Introductory Lacrosse for Beginners on Sundays from Jan. 7 to Feb. 11.
The program is for girls born between 2005 and 2011.
Session times at the Langley Events Centre Fieldhouse (behind the main arena, across from the Langley Tennis Centre) are:
• 10 to 11:30 a.m. for girls born from 2009 to ’11, and;
• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for girls born between 2005 and ’08.
The goal is to teach the fundamentals of box lacrosse through skills development, fun and games.
Cost is $25 per player. A helmet with a cage is mandatory for each player.
