The Langley Thunder bounced back from a tough loss earlier in the week to win for the fourth time in the past five games.
The senior A lacrosse team posted a 14-5 victory at Nanaimo’s Frank Crane Arena on Sunday over the host Timbermen.
The Thunder had lost 13-4 on June 11 to the Victoria Shamrocks at the Langley Events Centre, ending the team’s three-game win streak.
Langley sits at 4-4 in the Western Lacrosse Association standings.
Against Nanaimo, the Thunder built a 6-1 lead in the first period and never looked back in their most decisive win of the season.
Alex Turner lead the way with four goals and six points while Tom Johnson had a hat trick and one helper.
Athan Iannucci and Tyler Melnyk both had two goals and three assists.
Brodie MacDonald stopped 44 of the 49 shots he faced.
The Thunder host the Burnaby Lakers (3-3) on June 18 at the LEC. Game time is 7:45 p.m.
