It’s do-or-die time for the Langley Thunder.
The senior A Western Lacrosse Association squad is facing a 3-0 series hole in their best-of-seven semifinal series against the New Westminster Salmonbellies.
The ’Bellies won game three 8-7 on Saturday night at Queen’s Park Arena and will look to close out the series tonight (Aug. 10) at the Langley Events Centre in game four.
In game three, the teams were tied at three early in the second period before New Westminster close the frame with three unanswered goals to take the lead for good.
The Thunder did pull to within a goal on Lewis Ratciff’s tally, but only 44 seconds remained.
Ratcliff led the team in a losing effort with two goals and five points.
Anthony Malcom (two goals, one assist), Alex Turner (one goal, two assists) and Steve Hinek (three assists) each had three point games while Jacob Ruest and Brett Mydske chipped in with a goal apiece.
