Thunder hoping home opener means different result

Langley senior A lacrosse team off to 0-2 start to Western Lacrosses Association season

The Langley Thunder are hoping a return to their home floor can spark them to a victory.

The senior A lacrosse team is 0-2 on the Western Lacrosse Association season after dropping an 11-3 decision to the Coquitlam Adanacs on Saturday night at the Coquitlam Sports Centre.

Langley was done in by a second period which saw them out-scored 7-0.

Matt Kristianson scored twice in the defeat while Mitch McMichael had the other goal.

The Thunder had fallen 11-7 in their season opener on May 22 to the Maple Ridge Burrards.

Jordan Dance had three goals while James Rahe had a goal and four helpers in that game.

The Thunder host the Burnaby Lakers on June 1 at the Langley Events Centre.

The Langley Junior Thunder also host Burnaby the following night at the LEC.

The team is coming off a 14-6 loss to Coquitlam on May 25 which saw their record drop to 1-6.

Langley fell behind 8-1 after the opening 20 minutes and never recovered.

Mitch McDole paced the team with two goals and two assists while Dylan Lacroix and Andrew Gresham each had a goal and two helpers.
