THUNDER REPORT

The Quesnel midget Thunder took first place at a tourney in Kamloops and the bantam team skated to a 2-2 against the Williams Lake T'Wolves.

The Quesnel midget Thunder rep hockey team took first place at a tournament in Kamloops last weekend.

The Thunder earned top honours with a perfect 5-0 record in the eight-team tournament.

In the tournament final, Quesnel secured bragging rights with a 5-3 win over Terrace, on the strength of two goal from Josh Mack and singles by Lane Van de Wetering, Kieron Langdon and Rick Mack.

In round-robin action, the Thunder beat Smithers 3-1, Kamloops 2-0, Cloverdale 5-3 and Spruce Grove, Alta. 4-1.

The midget Thunder next see action Jan. 21 and 22 when they host Williams Lake at Twin Arenas.  The following weekend, they travel to Chase for a tournament.

Closer to home, the Quesnel bantam Thunder tier-three team traveled to Williams Lake last Saturday for an exhibition match against the tier-two Timberwolves.

The game ended in a 2-2 tie.  Cole Daniels was between the pipes for the Thunder, while Brayden Dale and Keith Redden each tallied a goal.

The Thunder bantam team is in Kamloops this weekend for a ten-team tournament.
