The Midget A Sooke Thunderbirds had an exciting weekend as they placed silver in the Port Alberni Remembrance Day Tournament against the Triport Eagles.
The team won three games to make it to the gold medal match, which went in to overtime but still remained tied 2-2.
Finally, the game was decided by a shoot out, and the Thunderbirds
lost 3-2.
Roger Jay with the Thunderbirds said it was a hard fought game and he is very proud of the way they played.
Meanwile, the Bantam A Thunderbirds also had a great weekend of hockey, as they too brought home a silver medal from a tournament in Kamloops.
