The Vancouver Giants have a few extra hands on deck as the team searches for their first victory of the Western Hockey League season.
Ty Ronning returned from the New York Rangers training camp earlier this week and is expected to be in the line-up when the Giants host the Seattle Thunderbirds tonight (Friday) at the Langley Events Centre.
Ronning led the Giants with 31 goals last season and is one of three fresh bodies who could suit up, along with fellow forwards Thomas Foster and Alec Baer.
Both are coming off injury.
The Giants are coming off a thrilling 7-6 loss to the Prince George Cougars which dropped their record to 0-3. Vancouver trailed 4-1 after one period before scoring three times in less than six minutes in the middle period to make a game of it.
Seattle is also searching for their first win but the Thunderbirds have only played one game so far.
Puck drop for the game is 7:30 p.m.
The Giants are also in action on Sunday afternoon when they host the Kamloops Blazers with a 4 p.m. puck drop.
