The Bateman Timberwolves junior varsity football squad beat Abbotsford Collegiate 48-0 on Wednesday, for their third shutout of the season.

The Timberwolves were up 21-0 after the first quarter on two rushing touchdowns from Ben Cummings and a 14-yard pass from quarterback Tanner Friesen to Mackenzie Johnson.

The second quarter had Cummings rushing 38 yards for his third touchdown, and Friesen ran in for a three-yard touchdown to end the half with the T-wolves up 34-0.

Austen Zacher and Brad Lewis had TDs in the second half.

Fumble recoveries came from Chris Ward, Garrat Carruthers, Kyle Douglas and Kole Lochbaum. Daniel Mills had an interception.

Bateman ends league play with a 6-1 record and second place in the Eastern Conference. They are now into playoff action. They are up against Hugh Boyd of Richmond, who finished third in the Western Conference, next week.
