The Trail Midgets bounced back from a loss to Kelowna on Sunday to defeat Williams Lake 8-5 in the evening match of the Midget provincials.

The Greater Trail Tier 2 Smoke Eaters fell to Kelowna Sunday morning but bounced back in the evening match to defeat the Williams Lake Tier 2 Timber Wolves 8-5 on the opening day of the Midget Tier 2 provincials.

The Tier 2 Smoke Eaters play Saanich Monday at 8 p.m. and wrap up the round robin Tuesday against North Delta. Playoffs go Wednesday.
