Langley junior B hockey club has been out-scored 29-7 over past four games

The Langley Trappers have hit a rough patch.

Nine of those came on Wednesday night as the team lost 9-1 to the Delta Ice Hawks at the George Preston Recreation Centre.

Hollander Thompson had the lone Langley goal.

Langley also lost their previous game, 8-1 to the Grandview Steelers on Sunday, as well as falling 10-2 to the Richmond Sockeyes on Sept. 20.

Matthew Smoliga scored versus the Steelers while Nicholas Wagner and Joshua Boelema tallied against Richmond.

Boelema leads Langley with five goals through eight games.

The team’s lone victory over the past four games was a 3-2 win over the Surrey Knights on Sept. 21 with Smoliga, Edvin Haskovic and Thompson each finding the back of the net.

Altogether, the expansion hockey club sits at 3-5-0-0. The team is back in action on Sept. 30 when they visit the North Vancouver Wolf Pack.
