Two Campbell River players on Nati0nal Aboriginal Hockey Championship-winning Team BC

Three area residents were inolved in May 12's Aboriginal Hockey Championship winning Team BC squad.

Three area residents were inolved in May 12’s Aboriginal Hockey Championship winning Team BC squad.

Cody Savey and Jalen Price played for Team BC at the annual tournament held in Membertou, Nova Scotia and Alissa Assu served as Team Coordinator with Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council (ISPARC).

Savey and Price were on the squad that came back from a 3-0 first period deficit to win 6-5 in overtime over Saskatchewan. Savey notched a goal and an assist in the game that got a nod from CBC’s Don Cherry’s Coach’s Corner.
