The Revelstoke Grizzlies played two home games last weekend against the Chase Heat and the Princeton Posse.
On Friday night Ryan Pereverzoff scored the first goal of the game, a power play goal, assisted by Carter Anderson and Jaden Hay.
Josh Irvine scored the second goal, with less than a minute left in the first period, assisted by Anderson and Ethan Rideout.
In the first period the Grizzlies killed three penalties.
Irvine opened the second period with a third goal for the Grizzlies, assisted by Rideout.
Nine minutes later Tommy Bodtker scored, assisted by Caleb Rausch.
Less than two minutes after that, Irvine netted a hat trick on a power play assisted by Raymond Speerbrecker.
In the second period the Grizzlies killed on penalty.
The Grizzlies continued to dominate the score board in the third period with Vandermolen scoring goal number six, four minutes in, assisted by Irvine and Speerbrecker.
Cody Flann scored goal number 7, assisted by Bodtker.
10 seconds later Bodtker scored his second goal of the night, assisted by Flann and Kaeden Patrick.
With less than three minutes left on the clock Pereverzoff scored his second goal of the game, assisted by Bodtker and Jaden Hay.
Matt Caden scored the final goal of the game, securing the Grizzlies 10-0 win assisted by Vandermolen.
In the third period there were nine penalties awarded altogether. The Grizzlies killed four.
Geoff Drought, the Chase Heat’s goalie saw 73 shots on net during the game. Liam McGarva, for the Grizzlies, saw 24.
On Saturday night the Grizzlies once again played in the Forum, this time meeting the Princeton Posse.
Matt Cadden scored the first goal of the night for the Grizzlies, assisted by Cash Sawchyn and Vandermolen.
The Posse held the Grizzlies off for the rest of the first period, giving up only one chance at a power play. The Grizzlies successfully killed two penalties.
Thirty seconds in to the second period Bodtker scored a short handed goal, unassisted.
The second period was rough, with 17 penalties awarded and five skaters kicked out of the game.
Vandermolen scored the Grizzlies third goal of the night with 8:20 left on the clock, assisted by Kaeden Patrick and Jaden Hay.
With one minute left on the clock in the third period, Pereverzoff scored the Grizzlies fourth goal of the night.
The Grizzlies killed one penalty in the third.
Their goalie, Noah Desouza, stopped 32 shots. Jayden Simon, the Posse’s goalie stopped 53 shots.
The Grizzlies play the Grand Forks Border Bruins on Thursday and the Creston Valley Thunder Cats on Friday, both in Kamloops.
Their next home game will be against the Nelson Leafs on New Years Eve.
