A challenging, three-day tournament ended last Friday afternoon with winners finally emerging in the Parksville Lawn Bowling Club’s annual singles tournament.

According to PLBC’s Carol Bucyk a large and receptive gallery watched as players went through set matches beginning on Wednesday afternoon.

Semi-finals were played Friday morning and when it was finished only four people remained: Jan MacNaughton and Chris Fereday on the women’s side, and Riack Britz facing off against Rick Dolley in the men’s.

MacNaughton and Dolley were successful in their quest, and will now be heading off to the Zones Singles Event to be held in Courtenay in early September.
