Nenagh McCulloch had a touchdown and three sacks, and three more players each had a touchdown and an interception as the Crew defeated the struggling Wild 26-0 in Cowichan Women’s Football League action last Sunday.
Stepheny Cuthbert, Jess Lines-Wikkerink and Willy Toews all had majors and picks in a strong two-way effort for the Crew. Kate Collins added a convert and two interceptions and Amanda Morton had a convert and one interception. The Wild’s highlights came from Rhiannon Kemmler with two interceptions and Rebecca Oliver with a sack.
The other scheduled morning game turned into a 25-0 win for the Ravens as Blue Steel forfeited.
Moo’s Law quarterback Jaimie Olson guided her team to a 39-14 win over the Winter Trucking Storm on Sunday afternoon, hitting four different receivers for six touchdowns, at least one in each quarter. Britnie Hearsey and Megan Newton each scored twice, and Wendy Charles and Bryn Piper had one touchdown apiece, with Kim Scafe and Toni Williams adding converts and Pattie Atkinson punting for a single point. Hearsey also led the defence with three sacks, and Atkinson, Newton and Olson had interceptions. Julie Martin and Caitlin Erickson scored for the Storm, with two converts from Kat Waldon. Martin also had an interception on defence.
