Kitimat ladies golf have had a busy two weeks, including the hosting of the second super ladies night of the season.
On Tuesday, June 11, 44 ladies played on this lovely sunny evening.
Winners by flight were:
A Flight
1st low gross – Michele Frater – 49 on a count back
2nd low gross – Michelle McMenamon – 49
1st low net – Bonnie Donaldson – 35.5
2nd low net – Donna McMenamon – 37.5.
B flight
1st low gross – Kristi Genzale – 48
2nd low gross – Patricia Voyer – 58 on a countback
1st low net – Alex Koza – 29
2nd low net – Karen Highton – 38.
Closest to the pin was Barb Thomas, with Michelle McMenamon and Nina Heikkila winning the long drive.
Putting contest winner Karina Dziuba won the $42 pot, and the winners of the gift cards by draw were Cherie Seppala, Sue Jay, Melissa Baker, Marg Moore, Karina Dziuba, and Tanya Allen.
On Tuesday, June 18, 67 lady golfers, making up 12 teams, played in the nine-hole scramble at the very successful second Super Ladies Night of the season.
Some of the ladies who competed were golfing for the first time.
Although 92 players signed up to compete, the spotty rain and cool evening kept a few players away.
The winning team with the lowest score of 33 consisted of Dorit Lindner, Patricia Voyer, Meagen Grossmann, Sue Dobbin, Hannah Durrant and Jennifer Knott.
A Flight
Long drive winners for A Flight were Dorit Lindner and Esther Pretulac. Closest to the pin for A Flight was Lindsey Nunes and longest putt was Janelle Hittel.
B Flight
Long drive winners were Renee Beauchamp and Sam Tough, with closest to pin winners Renee Beauchamp and Charlotte Dickinson.
Longest putt was Anita Vahanikkila and the winner of the $40 putting contest was Janelle Hittel.
Prizes galore were distributed by draw and the Hirsch Creek kitchen put on an awesome buffet.
