The Trinity Western Spartans boast both the player and the rookie of the month for November.
Jarrett Fontaine picked up the BC Intercollegiate Hockey League’s player of the month while Evan Last was the top rookie. It was the second straight month Last picked up the honour.
Fontaine had 10 goals and five assists in eight games for the month, which included the games the weekend of Dec. 3 and 4. He was held scoreless just once.
Last leads the league with 23 points in 13 games. He finished last month with one goal and 14 assists and had four multi-point games.
A third Spartan, Jamey Kreller, also earned the league’s player of the week award after recording six points in two games the weekend of Dec. 3 and 4.
