The Campbell River Bantam Tyees are Vancouver Island baseball champions.
The Tyees hosted the three-team Island play downs at Nunns Creek Park last weekend and finished with a perfect 4-and-0 record.
Campbell River kicked off the playoffs with an 11-7 victory over Victoria and followed that up with an 11-2 win against the Nanaimo Pirates.
Sunday morning the Tyees were back at it against Nanaimo and the bats came alive, lifting the Tyees to a 20-10 win.
Campbell River sealed it in its final game against Victoria, and leaving no doubt it was the superior team, won 12-8.
The Tyees claimed the only Island berth in the provincials, which start Wednesday in Kamloops.
