The UBC-O Heat jr. soccer team went to Seattle to play in a under-15 to 19 Showcase and played well earning one win in four games. The group has been together for six weeks.

The UBC-O Heat jr. soccer team went to Seattle to play in a under-15 to 19 Showcase and played well earning one win in four games. The group has been together for six weeks.

A UBC Heat junior girls soccer team finished with a record of one win, a tie and two losses in a AstroTurf Collegiate Showcase for under-15 to 19 girls in Seattle Nov. 25 to 27.

The squad featured eight Penticton players. In their first game against Washington Premier FC, the Heat lost 2-1. In their second game against Pacific Northwest Blue, the teams settled for a 1-1. They had great scoring chances but couldn’t finish. Pacific Northwest won their remaining games.

In their third game Saturday night against a strong Renton team, the Heat won 1-0.  The game went back and forth with a lot of physical play and quality scoring chances.

In Heats final game on Sunday morning against Pacific Northwest White, they lost 1-0.

The team played strong after being together for six weekends.
