Unity fighters earn medals

The Unity Martial Arts Team won the Youth No Gi Western Canadian Bralizian jiujitsu championships

The Unity Martial Arts Team won the Youth No Gi Western Canadian Bralizian jiujitsu championships in Penticton last weekend.

Vernon’s Leo Voracek won gold and Max McMillan silver in the under 7 category, while Gabrielle Voracek struck gold and Brock Davies won silver in the under 9 division.

Dominic Voracek was golden in the under 90-pound category, while Jaden Davies won gold in the under 100-pound class.

Both Hunter Eustache and Fenton Eustache won a pair of golds in the under 90 and under 80 divisions respectively.

Rylie Marchand won gold in the teen advance division, while Trey Vinji struck silver in boys advance.

Marchand, 15, is Kler’s prize pupil these days. Kler will accompany Marchand to Texas in August, where she will defend her North American 140-pound title for 18 and under fighters. She is the youngest MMA champion on the continent.
