The Valley Huskers wrapped up the 2018 regular season Saturday afternoon with a 22-14 road loss in Nanaimo.
The Huskers faced the Vancouver Island Raiders at Caledonia Park, in a final tuneup before they roll into the postseason.
Quarterback Julian Wytinck wore out his arm with 46 pass attempts, completing 21 for 330 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.
Remis Tshiovo was his top target with five catches for 137 yards. Brandon Poulin and Anthony Dyck caught the TD tosses.
Rookie running back Von Richardson led the ground game with 13 carries for 45 yards.
Nanaimo running back Rhett Williams had a career day against the Huskers. The workhorse carried 27 times for 247 yards and one touchdown on a day when the Raider passing game fizzled.
The stingy Husker secondary limited Nanaimo QB Jacob Laberge to seven completions on 22 pass attempts, with one TD and three interceptions.
Desmon Jeanson, Treyvon Walsh and Dawson Davis had the picks while Daniel Mills and Matthew Beaudry recorded QB sacks.
