Nanaimo’s Van Osch sisters will get a chance to curl for a B.C. championship and a berth in the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Kesa Van Osch and her teammates, representing the Nanaimo Curling Centre, won their playoff match Saturday afternoon at the Scotties B.C. Women’s Curling Championship at the Victoria Curling Club.

Kesa – along with Marika Van Osch, Kalia Van Osch and Amy Gibson – defeated the top-seeded Karla Thompson rink out of Kamloops by a 10-4 score Saturday. Kesa and company took control early, stealing four in the third end for a 6-1 lead that proved insurmountable.

The Van Osch rink will play the final Sunday, Jan. 7, at 4 p.m.

Corry Brown of Kamloops is facing Diane Gushulak of Royal City in the Saturday night draw to see who faces Thompson in Sunday morning’s semifinal.
