The Vanderhoof Youth Archery Club held a tournament to close out the season on Nov. 20, with children of all ages and abilities showing up to test their newfound skills.
The local club, which is sponsored by the Mapes Baptist Church, teaches archery technique and provides equipment for kids to use, under the supervision of certified instructors.
The club welcomes children from age seven up to 13.
The local tournament held competitions in three categories: eight years and under; 9-10 year olds; and 11 and up.
Attendees had a great time and enjoyed the atmosphere of competition on the day.
