The Penticton Vees suffered a 5-1 loss in Wenatchee during the pre-season home-and-home series against Wenatchee Wild on Aug. 31.
The first period saw no goals scored with shots 13-11 in the Wild’s favour. Wenatchee scored first with 4:04 remaining in the second with a shot from the right wing circle deflected off a leg and through the legs of Derek Krall.

The Wilds quickly made it 2-0 in the beginning of the third period. David Silye scored his second of the pre-season with a shot in the top corner over Austin Park’s blocker at 8:23 in the third period.
The Wilds then went on to score three more goals just two minutes apart in the second half of the period, leaving the score final at 5-1.
The two teams will face off again Sept. 1 at the South Okanagan Events Centre to end the pre-season series. Game starts at 6 p.m.
