They’ll re-live the glory days and, in the process, raise money for their school and a local organization.
The third annual Seaton Secondary Alumni Volleyball Match fundraiser takes place Friday, Dec. 28.
Sonics’ volleyball alumni will converge to play matches and help raise money for the school’s gym revitalization project as well as KidSport, a local organization that helps families in need with sports registration costs.

“Admission is by donation,” said event spokesperson Paula Harned. “There will be a 50/50 draw and lots of great fun.”
The women’s alumni match will take place at 6 p.m., followed by the former Sonics men taking the court at 8 p.m.

Among the alumni taking part are the Page sisters, Brittany and Lindsay. Brittany is a former captain of Canada’s women’s volleyball team. She joined the national team in 2009, playing in two worlds, seven Pan American Cups and more than 100 international matches. She also played professionally overseas.
