The Victoria HarbourCats are putting some community fun into their game this weekend.
The ’Cats take a break from their West Coast League baseball schedule and will host a few community events.
On Saturday the team will take part in Baseball Day in Victoria with youth camps, starting at 9 a.m. at Royal Athletic Park and at Rotary Park-Peninsula. Full details are online at harbourcats.com/community/cats_camps/.
Beginning at 3:30 p.m., the HarbourCats take on the Greater Victoria Baseball Association executives, media and mayors in a five-inning game at Royal Athletic Park. There is no admission charge.
And finally at 7 p.m., the HarbourCats will take on the Pacific International League’s Langley Blaze in an exhibition tilt at Royal Athletic Park.
The ’Cats return to regular play on Monday when they host the Bend Elks. Game time is 7:11 p.m.
