The Okanagan Valley Throwdown returned to Penticton and the South Okanagan Event Centre for the seventh year in a row.
The annual event saw over 200 athletes compete in the Crossfit styled competition. Over two days, the athletes brought their all to a variety of different fitness challenges.
For many athletes, the event is an opportunity to meet up with friends as well as a challenge for themselves.
“It’s like a reunion,” said Rebecca Stoddart, a pairs competitor from Vernon. “You get to see athletes you see every year. I think it’s great for the community and for our gym, and keeps it fun.”
