Highlights from the annual Abbotsford trail race

The annual Valley Vertikiller trail race returned to Sumas Mountain Regional Park on Saturday, with dozens competing in the 25 kilometre and 16 km distances.

Brendan Hunt posted the top time in the 25 km race, completing the course in 2:32:00. Darbykai Standrick was the fastest female, with a time of 2:44:34.

The 16 km course was won by Benoit Gignac (1:40:34), with Brooke Spence (1:49:59) finishing second overall and winning the female division.
