League posts possible schedule for 2020-21 season

The Oceanside Generals will have some key veteran players back for the coming Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League season.

The Generals recently confirmed that their top sniper (and the VIJHL’s top forward last season) Dawson Heathcote will return for the 2020-21 season.

This was followed by a number of confirmations from veteran players who will return, including forwards Aiden Sutherland and Isaak Leik and defenceman Brandon Hannibal.

Sutherland played only 27 regular season games for the Generals but still managed to tally 24 points with nine goals and 15 assists.

Leik was acquired from the Peninsula Panthers late last season and made an immediate impact on the Generals offence. In 15 games he collected 22 points with nine goals and 13 helpers.

On defence, Hannibal will man the blue-line again for the local side. He was a key player on the Generals special teams units.

He had a goal and 23 assists for 24 points last season.
