The VIU Mariners were able to win a soccer game under stormy skies on the weekend.

Kevin Lindo, coach of the Mariners women, said it was “massive” for his team to take a win it felt like it needed on Sunday.

“Very, very pleased with the girls today and not just today, over the weekend, because I felt yesterday we deserved something from the game, it wasn’t to be,” he said. “We responded excellently today, we worked hard and we met them physically, as well.”
