Teal Hadland and Courtney Becker helped the Okanagan Under 15 girls all-stars place second in pool play at the Volleyball Festival in Phoenix, Ariz.
Hadland and Becker, both VSS students, went 2-1 in preliminary play with Okanagan, starting with a sweep of Sports Shack of Santa Monica, Calif. (25-14, 25-14).
After falling 28-26, 16-25, 2-15 to the Arizona Revolution of Scottsdale, the all-stars rebounded by grounding East County San Diego in straight sets (25-15, 26-24).
Hadland was great on the right side, while Becker delivered solid defence and some huge blocks.
