West Kelowna Warriors’ forward Parm Dhaliwal has been named to Team Canada West for the 2017 Canadian Junior Hockey League’s annual Prospects Game.
Dhaliwal, 17, is among 40 junior A players chosen by NHL Central Scouting to showcase their skills Jan. 27 in Cornwall, Ont.
Dhaliwal has had a solid rookie season in the BCHL with three goals and 12 assists in 30 games.
With 15 points, the Surrey native currently sits eighth in team scoring.
“I’m extremely excited and humbled to be recognized by the CJHL and NHL Central Scouting,” said Warriors forward Parm Dhaliwal. “I’m looking forward to getting a chance to suit up for Team Canada West and be a part of the event.”
The CJHL Prospects Game gives pro scouts another opportunity to evaluate talent from across the country, in advance of the NHL entry draft next summer in Chicago.

The Warriors will play a home-and-home set against the Trail Smoke Eaters beginning tonight at Royal LePage Place. Face off is 7 p.m. The clubs will meet again Friday in Trail…The Warriors (17-6-1-0) won their last four games prior to the Christmas break.
