Evidence that female hockey is alive and well in Chilliwack came Dec. 13-15 as the midget Warriors won the Penticton Fire on Ice tournament.
A dominant performance saw the Warriors post four straight shutouts.
They demolished Chase 9-0 and Kamloops 7-0, with MVP performances from Taylor Allenby and Kristy Ricard.
Maddi Krulicki earned player of the game honours in the third game, against Kelowna.
Krulicki drew a boarding call, and scored on the ensuing power play as her team won 3-0.
The Warriors faced Kelowna again in the title game, winning 2-0. Angelique Basson iced the win with an empty net goal.
Netminder and team captain Taegan Ackland-Gaetz recorded all four shutouts and was named player of the game in the final.
