The West Kelowna Warriors lost a tight game to the Langley Rivermen 2-1 Tuesday night. Langley goalie Braeden Fleming gave the Warriors almost zero chances to get back into the game with making 24 saves. New Warrior Garrett Worth got his first goal with his new team, but the Rivermen took advantage of the power play to win the game
With the BCHL season coming to its final 11 games, coach Geoff Grimwood knows what the team needs in the final stretch of the season.
“We have to tidy up the details of our game. Staying healthy is big as every night still matters here,” said Grimwood. “We’re going to play a good team no matter what in the playoffs, and we need to make sure our game is organized and clean.”

The Warriors were one of the highlighted features in last weekend’s Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour as they secured a thrilling win for local Okanagan fans with a 6-1 win against Prince George on Jan. 20.
“It was a great event for West Kelowna,” said Grimwood on Hometown Hockey. “Showcased a lot what the Warriors organization is all about and the strong sense of community. It was great for the players to experience a special event like that.”
The Warriors only have four home games remaining in the regular season, with the next game coming Feb. 2 against Salmon Arm.
