Since a .500 start over the first third of the season, the Langley Blaze have been white-hot ever since.
The U18 baseball team was 7-7 over the first 14 games, but ever since then, they have rocketed up the standings thanks to a 20-3 run.
Four more wins over the weekend — 4-0 and 9-1 over the Coquitlam Reds on Saturday and 7-1 and 8-3 over the North Delta Blue Jays on Sunday, all of which came on the road — pushed the team’s winning streak to a dozen games as well as top spot in the B.C. Premier Baseball League with a record of 27-10.
The Langley pitching staff allowed just 11 hits in the four games.

Nick Iverson threw a complete game four-hit shutout, striking out eight in the 4-0 victory to begin the weekend.
Yi-Fan Pan led the way with three hits and an RBI, while Jonny Homza, Austin Hardie and Yi-An Pan each had an RBI.
Blaze 9 Reds 1
Homza hit a pair of home runs and finished with four RBIs in the team’s 9-1 victory.
Daniel Berg, Hardie and Marshall Luiz drove in a run apiece.
On the mound, Aiden Mordecai just a pair of hits in the first inning, going six strong innings with eight strikeouts.
Blaze 7 Blue Jays 1
Langley’s pitching staff continued to limit the hits with Corey Jackson throwing a complete game one-hitter. He struck out seven but did walk six.
Dawson Gray and Hardie led the offence in the 7-1 win with two RBIs apiece while Berg and Yi-An Pan had one RBI each.
Blaze 8 Blue Jays 3
Langley fell behind briefly, 2-0 through the first four innings, but the Blaze offence got hot with eight runs over the final three innings in the 8-3 win.
Berg (three RBIs) and Rhys Cratty (two RBIs) led the offence, while Jake Kristensen, Yi-An Pan and Gray had an RBI each.
Kyle Ross threw a complete-game four-hitter with seven strikeouts.
The Blaze will look to continue their winning ways when they host the Victoria Mariners on July 13 in a doubleheader. Game times are 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
