Vernon’s Curtis Lazar and Brady Brassart are adding an offensive presence in the Western Hockey League’s Eastern Conference final.
Brassart netted a goal and an assist as his host Calgary Hitmen iced Lazar’s Edmonton Oil Kings 5-2 in Game 3 of the best-of-seven set Tuesday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Lazar scored once for the visitors, who evened the series 2-2 a night later with a 7-2 win in Game 4 in Calgary.
Game 5 goes tonight at Edmonton’s Rexall Place.
