The pee wee version of the West Kootenay Wildcats (all girls team)—with players from Greater Trail, Castlegar and Grand Forks minor hockey associations—wrapped up their league playoffs two weeks ago in the Atom A Division. The ‘Cats completed the round robin portion of the playoffs in first place and then defeated the Greater Trail team in overtime to get through the semifinals to the final versus Nelson. Playing their fifth game in 48 hours, the ‘Cats lost a hard fought game to Nelson and placed second.
