Hot on the heels of the Williams Lake Indoor Rodeo, cowboy action will continue this weekend in the lakecity with the Williams Lake High School Rodeo at the Stampede Grounds.
Several local athletes will be competing in multiple events at the rodeo, which is split into two sections: a junior high school and a senior high school division.
Friday, cutting and the reined cowhorse events kick off the action at 9 a.m., followed by the junior high school rodeo immediately to follow.
Saturday will continue with the junior high school rodeo beginning at 9 a.m., and followed by the senior high school rodeo in the afternoon.

Sunday’s festivities will see the conclusion of the senior high school rodeo, starting at 9 a.m.
From the Cariboo, junior high school competitors include Brianna Billy (girls cutting), Will Roberts (junior saddlebronc riding, boys goat tying, ribbon roping, boys breakaway roping, team roping and chute dogging), Paityn Rogers (barrel racing, pole bending), Kagen Russell (boys goat tying, boys breakaway roping, chute dogging), Brandon Loring (chute dogging) and Brady Wood (chute dogging).
In the senior high school rodeo representing the Cariboo are: Ryan Roberts (saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, team roping), Nic Flinton (saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping), Cordell Pinchbeck (bull riding), Michael Gulbranson (bull riding), Brianna Billy (barrel racing, breakaway roping, pole bending, team roping), Hailey Waterhouse (barrel racing), Conway Pinchbeck (tie-down roping, steer wrestling), Brock Everett (tie-down roping, steer wrestling), Anna Best (goat tying, pole bending) and Reese Rivet (barrel racing).
