Stelly’s alumni Erinne Willock finished third in the Canadian National Road Championships.
The Pacific Cycling Centre athlete was among those in the 103 kilometre race on the outskirts of Burlington, Ontario. It consisted of eight laps with some challenging climbs including a steep finishing climb up the Niagara Escarpment. Willock’s strength is hills and each of her climbs challenged the pelaton.
The lead pack wasn’t decided until the last climb when Veronique Fortin sprinted to the finish. Willock was just edged from second place by Lex Albrecht.
