The Vancouver Stealth start their regular season tonight (Friday) against the Colorado Mammoth, the team that frustrated the Stealth’s Champion’s Cup aspirations in the spring.
The Langley-based team will be hunting the mammoth at the Langley Events Centre starting at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8.
“We did not finish our season off like we wanted to last year against them, so we cannot wait to get out there and play,” said assistant captain Logan Schuss. “We have added a ton of new talent to our roster and cannot wait to put on a show for our fans this season.”
During the offseason, Vancouver made multiple moves to bolster their roster including acquiring Tony Malcom and Brodie MacDonald in separate deals, drafting Ryan Fournier and signing free agents Brandon Goodwin, Patrick O’Meara, Tyson Roe, Andrew Suitor and Cody Teichroeb.
“The guys are excited and we are ready to begin the season and renew our rivalry with the Mammoth,” said head coach Jamie Batley.
Meanwhile, goalie Tye Belanger wants a fan to help design his next goalie mask.
On Saturday, March 17, when the Vancouver Stealth host the Colorado Mammoth, Belanger will wear a custom designed helmet created by one talented fan.
The best elements of submitted designs will be selected by Tye and awarded a Tye Belanger Gift Package!

The Goalie Mask Design Contest will run until February 10th and is open to people of all ages.
