Women’s golf wraps up in Pitt Meadows

Cassy Isagawa of Eugene, Oregon, had a two-stroke lead with just a round to go at the B.C. Golf Women’s Amateur Championship, which is being held at Pitt Meadows Golf Club this week.

A pair of local girls are also among the top female golfers in B.C. at this week’s competition.

Keanna Mason was tied for 23rd after shooting 77-79-78 for a score of 234.

The final round is to go today.

Maple Ridge’s Sandra Turbide finished a tidy sixth in the B.C. Women’s Golf Mid-Amateur championship. Shooting three rounds, Turbide finished with a score of 243, with rounds of 79-83-81, for plus 21.

The winner was Port Alberni’s Christina Proteau with a runaway score of 226.
